We’re excited to introduce a new series of talks and video demonstrations centred on actors’ monologues. In this series, we’ll focus on the actor’s approach, which differs from that of the writer or director. While a writer crafts the words and a director shapes the vision, it’s the actor who brings the monologue to life through their own unique process.

We often spend our lives waiting—waiting for the "right time," the "perfect situation," the "ideal job," the "perfect relationship," or whatever it is we think we need before we can truly begin to live. We wait, and in doing so, we give away our power and control. We place our hopes on some elusive future moment that doesn't yet exist...
